The place and role of non-word fillers in mastering a foreign language

The purpose of our article is to share our own experience in teaching student’s oral speech in a foreign language. In a number of our previous publications we have already considered the problem of teaching a foreign language to students of non-language universities. Our experience confirms that the reason for the lack of motivation in learning a foreign language is emerging (paradoxically!) already at the school stage of learning a foreign language. Methods: teaching a foreign language using gestures and parasitic words. When we speak, especially spontaneous speech, we usually need pauses to find the right words, to think through what we want to say. Such pauses are often filled with people words-parasites (filler words). Words-fillers-this is a common phenomenon that is common to all languages. Conclusions: we try to use this trend as a "plus" in mastering a foreign language. Results: an important point in the mastery of speech communication is the ability to apply in practice (i.e. in oral speech) the grammatical and lexical structures of the studied language.
