Metaphor as a source of neologisms in newspaper slogans

This article reflects the main directions of borrowing neologisms and their use in the French press as parts and whole slogans. The metaphor is not so often found in French slogans, but it attracts a lot of attention from readers, forcing them to often become familiar with the whole text of the article. By analyzing the many slogans of the French press, significant differences were found between their use with the use of neologisms and without this use. As a result of the study of the slogans of the French press, it was revealed that the metaphor is reflected in one of the leading sources of borrowing neologisms from the English and American languages.
