Leisure of children and youth in the Stalingrad region during the postwar period (1945 — in early1950-s)

The article highlights the forms of leisure and means of its implementation in the children and youth environment during the restoration of the Stalingrad region in ser. 1940s – early 1950s. On the basis of the analysis of a wide range of local history literature and materials of periodicals it is shown how process of revival of the city and districts of the area, victims of the German aggression, gave the chance to increase the level of carrying out leisure. The role and participation of power structures and public organizations in the course of the organization of cultural and educational work which framework included leisure are characterized. At the same time it is possible to note that if leisure of children depended on many social factors of post-war time, then leisure of youth was closely connected with implementation of socialist obligations and a labor debt to the country and the state. As a result of a research the main function of leisure of that time – unity of children, their adaptation to new peace by conditions and association of forces of youth for restoration of the country was revealed.
