Concept «loneliness» as an embodiment of linguo-cognitive features of the novel Joan Harris «Gentlemen and players»

The article is devoted to the analysis of the mental object «loneliness», presented in the novel «Gentlemen and Players». For this purpose, different concepts of researchers are presented that are devoted to the interpretation of the term «concept». Of interest is the analysis of modern works devoted to the implementation of the concept of «loneliness» in cognitive linguistics and artistic works. A detailed analysis of the plot component of the work, which characterizes the loneliness of the main character, allows us to come to the conclusion about the linguo-cognitive features of the novel under study.
