«Quantitative aspect» of the object shape characteristics in the system of sustainable comparisons

The article deals with some topical aspects of the analysis of the object of application of figurative characteristics in the system of stable comparisons of the Russian language. The author focuses on the number of objects that can act as a subject (component A) of a stable comparative structure. The connection of this problem with possible criteria of ideographic classification of stable comparative units, as well as with grammatical variation of the word expressing the object of figurative characteristics is revealed.
