Lexical means of implementing the concept of “movement” in D. I. Fonvizin’s “Letters from France”

The article discusses lexical means of implementing the concept of “movement” in D.I. Fonvizin’s “Letters from France” which is an outstanding work of Russian literature of XVIII century that combines features of epistolary genre and travel essays. Words related to the concept of “movement” and belonging to different grammatical classes and thematic groups are being analyzed. The role of these words in the ideological and aesthetic structure of the text is characterized.
