The article substantiates the relevance of improving the quality of information and pedagogical support of the pedagogical process, investigated the educational potential and risks in this regard, modern information technology. Special attention is paid to the possibilities of informal education in the framework of self-education and training of teachers of the University, expanding the range of their methodological techniques in the formation of skills of working with information from students.
