Bilingual English-Russian dictionary project on cultural heritage studies (chemistry in conservation/restoration)

The purpose of the paper is to describe a dictionary project on the cultural heritage (chemistry in conservation/ restoration) – a poorly covered Language for Specific Purposes of social significance. The methods applied are historical description; context-functional analysis of words as integral units; methods of historical, terminological and bilingual lexicography. As a resultthe title of the dictionary was coined out, the resources identified, the macrostructure, wordlist, microstructure presented. The availability of a bilingual dictionary help to cover an important gap in chemistry and integrate the Russian conservation/restoration experience and tradition into internationalprofessional space.
