Pages of history of the Nizhny Novgorod militia in 1812: the problem of “excess” weapons

This article discusses the results of the arms of the Nizhny Novgorod militia in 1812 and the process of putting unnecessary weapons. Special attention is paid to the process of delivery of excess weapons and their further use. On the basis of this material we can conclude that the Nizhny Novgorod militia was quite effectively armed with modern weapons and left on the ground obsolete weapons.
