Continuing professional education: contemporary context

The problem of the development of the system of continuing professional education is actualized in the article. The analysis of the scientific literature on professional development of teachers has allowed to systematize the peculiarities of the renewal of continuing professional education, the direction of improving the quality of continuing professional education in the substantial and organizational aspects, to characterize the implementation of procedures of public and professional accreditation. The possibility and potentials of the use of the strategy of advanced development of the system of continuing teacher’s professional education are considered.
