Professional aspects are becoming the key criteria for improving the training course for would-be managers of the aviation industry. The article deals with the smooth incorporation of the English language classes with the portion of home reading into professional training of managers. The communicative approach and teaching English for specific purposes impose special requirements on the subject in question. It is highly necessary to overview the role of texts of the foreign literature taking into consideration the professional orientation.
