The reception of the book "Fedor Sologub" by Maria Savelieva

Fyodor Sologub is one of the brightest, most mysterious and enigmatic representatives of Russian symbolism. Writer chose the craving for death as the main theme in his works. Many contemporaries called Sologub "sadist", "maniac" or "psychopath", as if ignoring the fact that all his texts were written in search of another beautiful reality for consolation. This article aims to explore the book of candidate of philological Sciences, literary critic Maria Savelieva, which considers the theme of death in the works of the poet as an abstract image, which is designed to comfort and take frightening, not to build death into a cult.
