Henry IV Lancaster’s French policy: “just war” or “just” world?

The paper considers the evolution of England 's foreign policy towards France during the reign of King Henry IV, founder of the Lancaster dynasty. The author pays attention to the issue of changing the French policy of England after the Lancastrian's coup, analyzes the reasons for maintaining a "just" peace in the early years of Henry IV 's reign and the gradual transition of England to a policy of "fair" war. The focus is on France 's involvement in the Glendower-led revolt, and England 's role in opposing the Armagnacs and the Burgignons. The author concludes the French policy of Henry IV resulted in the formation of a course of "fair" war to be implemented in the reign of Henry V.
