Semantical analysis of phraseological images in Russian and English languages

The article deals with the study of phraseological units in English and Russian languages from the point of view of their cognitive and cultural component and concentrates on the analysis of the semantic features of emotional verbalization, in particular, of negative feelings and emotions. The emotive component plays a significant role in the semantics of phraseological units. In this paper we start from the concept of negative emotions in sociology and psychology. In our study, K. Izard's classification of 10 basic negative emotions was used.
