Inter-settle land management works nomadic and semi-nomadic population in mountain Altai in the 1920s: stages, features, results

In this article, based on archival documents, an attempt was made to consider the course and features of inter-settlement land management in the Altai Mountains in the 1920s. The main tasks of inter-settlement land management are highlighted: streamlining land relations and settlement of disputes between national communities in land use. The article shows that during land management measures, these problems were resolved. It was found that the inter-settlement land management works intensified the desire of the Altai population to engage in agriculture. In the traditional household system of the semi-nomadic population field cultivation began to play a more significant role.
