The concept of friendship in Russian and English proverbs

The present article is devoted to the study of the concept “дружба/ friendship” in the Russian and English languages. The proverbs researched allow the authors to plunge into mental activity of a definite society and provides outstanding opportunities for the comparativistic research. The comparativistic research of Russian and English phraseology and proverbs allows to define common and unique features typical to a specific cultural and ethnic unity of Russian and English mentalities.
