To the question of introducing optional classes in culture of professional speech for foreign students of preparatory department

The article is devoted to the need to introduce an optional course in the culture of professional speech for foreign students of the Russian higher education system. The definition of the term culture of professional communication is given. It is argued that the basis of professional speech culture is the formed foreign-language communicative competence. The components of a foreign language communicative competence are described.
