Transfer of educational video content on the example of YouTube video hosting

This article discusses the features of the translation of educational video content on the example of YouTube video hosting. The types of audiovisual translation (AVT) are compared, the translation competencies necessary for the implementation of the AVT are identified. The purpose of this work is to establish the main features of the audiovisual translation of educational video content on the Internet. The research methods that were used in the article are correlated with the purpose and objectives of this study. As part of the theoretical stage of the study, the literature on the issue under study was studied and analyzed, general scientific methods of description, classification, generalization and comparison were applied. As part of the practical phase of the study, a comparative method were used, i.e. a comparative analysis of the text of the audiovisual educational content in English and the text of its translation into Russian has been carried out. In this analysis, contextual and lexical-stylistic interpretations were used. A comparative translation analysis of subtitled translations and translations for voiceover of educational video content has been performed. The general trends in the use of translation transformations within the framework of these types of AVTs are considered, the translator's algorithm of work with audio-visual text is compiled, and methodological recommendations for translators are formulated.
