The article presents current problems of digitalization of education. The authors consider the concepts of "digitalization", "digital literacy", "digital transformation", and "digital culture". The authors identified changes in the qualification requirements for teachers in the process of digitalization of higher education. The advantages and disadvantages of digitalization of the educational process are investigated. It is noted that it is necessary to create a modern digital environment as a priority direction in education at the moment.
