History of latvian baptist communities in Bashkiria

The article deals with the history of the two main Protestant communities of Baptists in Bashkiria, formed at the end of the XIX century from the number of Latvian immigrants- the Skim and the Baltic. The author analyzes the gender, age, and social characteristics of believers. The article considers the main milestones of the Soviet state's repressive policy towards the leadership of the Latvian Baptist communities in Bashkiria. The author concludes that the tragic role of Stalin's repressions for the fate of Baptist community Ministers.
