Development of renewable energy in North Africa after EXPO-2017

In the article, the author draws attention to the activation of activities of the North African States for the development of alternative energy sources after participating in the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana (Kazakhstan) on the theme "Development of future energy. New types of energy". The transition to "green energy" will make it possible to stop the process of global warming of the planet. Entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol and decisions of the 2015 Paris conference climate change has given a boost to the development of renewable energy sources (RES) in Africa, based on its favorable natural opportunities. It shows the interest of Europe in the development of renewable energy in North Africa due to the fact that this region can receive a significant amount of electricity. For this purpose, the plan for the Europe-Maghreb energy complex is being developed along the lines of Morocco-Spain-France-Italy-Tunisia – Algeria.
