The analysis of perceiving the american literature by the russian students

The present research is based on the general survey and the detailed analysis of the answers. The purpose of the research is to find out how the Russian students perceive the American writers and their works. The fact that the American literature is characterized by complicated cultural associations and contains a lot of national non-equivalent words makes it difficult for the Russian readers to perceive these books. The survey and the analytical process let us understand how the Russian students associate the United States with the literature, how well they know the American writers and their works and how they perceive the information about a particular American writer (Steven King by example).
