Features of the functioning of lexical units on the theme «COVID 19» in the English and Russian languages

The article investigates the causes and methods of enlarging the lexical structure of the language with neologisms. The authors examine lexical units associated with a new coronovirus infection. The article proposes a classification of new words according to their scope. The lexical and semantic neologisms are analyzed.
