Paroemia as a constituent element of the contents of a concept, its meaningful aspect

The so-called “paroemia”, or “parable” is in the focus of the author’s attention. The parables that have the concept of “patience, endurance” are of special interest to the author. The accent is made on the idea that a parable takes an active part in the process of making up the contents of a concept. Any parable is viewed as a constituent element of the contents of a concept, the role of a parable is to reveal the whole meaning of a concept. The research goal is the following: to explain the way of revealing the meaning of a concept through the analysis of a parable. In the course of the research there was applied a great amount of material from Russian definition dictionaries and the dictionary of Russian proverbs and sayings. Quite a thorough review of lots of theoretical descriptions of parables is carried out. Thus, parables can be labeled as small-scale units of folk literature with a special aspect of moralizing. A great deal of attention is paid to illustrating the phenomenon of the meaning forming and the contents shaping as far as the concept development is concerned. Both the meaning and the contents of a concept are regarded as multi-faceted and many-sided structure, composed of a lot of elements. Emotional and affective aspects of the contents are seen as integral parts of the word meaning.
