The role of China in the economic development of the Russian Far East in the period from 1858 to 1917

the article presents the results of a study aimed at establishing the significance of Russian state policy and the role of Chinese citizens in the economic development of the Russian territories of the Far East. In the course of the study, the historical period of development and economic development of the Russian territories bordering China from 1858 to 1917 was studied by means of a retrospective analysis. The results of the study allowed us to identify a number of stages in the development of the Far East, the characteristics of which are due to changes in the immigration policy of Russia, and to establish the role of Chinese citizens in the sustainable economic development of Russian border areas.
