The spread and activity of the Chinese in the Russian far east in the late XIX - beginning of XX century

The socio-economic situation in the Amur region and the Primorye territory that developed by the end of the XIX and early XX centuries forced the Russian government to take the necessary measures to attract labor to the Russian territories of the Far East in order to break out of stagnation and its subsequent development. The removal of restrictions by the Qing government of China on the departure of Chinese citizens from the country, in view of numerous natural disasters and wars, contributed to an increase in the influx of immigrants to the Russian territory of the Far East, which in the end became almost a decisive factor in its powerful development in various sectors of the national economy. By carrying out their professional activities in almost all spheres of human life, Chinese citizens managed to take an active part in the socio-economic transformation of the Russian territories of the Far East, making a significant contribution to its formation and development. The article presents the results of a retrospective analysis of the degree of participation of Chinese citizens in the formation of the Russian Far East.
