Educating police officers using the media: historical and pedagogical analysis

The purpose of this article is to substantiate the need to organize education of employees of internal Affairs bodies of the Russian Federation using mass media. Important historical periods of training of police officers using mass media are described: from the creation of the police (1718) to the present day. The main types of mass media and the effect of their educational impact on citizens, including employees of the internal Affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, are also considered. The process of managerial decisions made by the highest authorities of the Russian Empire, the USSR and democratic Russia at the state level on the organization of education of employees of internal Affairs bodies using mass media is analyzed. The article concludes with a General conclusion based on the results of a brief historical and pedagogical analysis of the education of police officers using the media.
