Synonymous linguistic terms in Chinese lunguistic tradition

This article raises the problem of terminological synonymy in Chinese linguistics, analyzes its features, causes and possible solutions. An original typology of synonyms is presented: the author identifies 4 types of terminological synonyms depending on the cause and method of occurrence of a synonym, briefly characterizes each type and illustrates it with specific examples. It is emphasized that in the field of linguistics and other humanities, we should pay attention to the creation of a terminological system and standardization of terminology, which contributes to the standardization of textbooks, reference books, and especially dictionaries.
