Popularization’s transmission means of scientific knowledge

The article outlines popularization’s transmission means of scientific knowledge in English language. The author focuses on strategies as popularization’s transmission means of scientific knowledge. The relevance of the issue is conditioned by great demand on scientific issues abroad. Description and analysis of scientific knowledge popularization allow communicating effectively and scientifically with a non-professional reader. The aim of popularization is to inform the non-professional reader about some sphere or a piece of knowledge that is affected reader’s world picture. The object of the research is popularization of scientific knowledge in English language. The subject of analysis is transmission means of scientific knowledge. The material of the research includes chapters froma highly discussed book in astrophysics – ‘Black Hole Blues and Other Songs from Outer Space (J. Levin). A method used is a contextual analysis.
