The authors of this work talk about some of the features of the organization and implementation of control of foreign language knowledge acquired through distance learning. One of the most pressing problems of learning in a distance is the control of current knowledge by the teacher. How to implement it, what schemes are in place today - these questions are the purpose of this study. Existing platforms for teaching foreign languages help students to consolidate their knowledge and independently control it. But for the implementation of objective control, teachers need other means and methods. The authors analyze proctoring as one of the methods of objective assessment of students during intermediate and final certification.
