E-Learning for the implementation of university curricula (on the example of teaching a foreign language)

In the Russian Federation the modern stage of e-learning and using information technologies, having passed through the long stages of preparation and implementation since the end of the XX century, are characterized by dynamic development. However, the transition to the distance learning format of March 2020 exposed a number of problem points, opening a new stage in Russian distance education. An analysis of the electronic resources supporting the disciplines “Foreign Language” and “Foreign Language for the Professional Communication” included in the curricula of higher education was made for evaluation of the real situation and the study of teaching foreign language features with a complete transition to the distance format. A review of electronic educational resources reports, the questionnaire survey of students, public opinion of third-party organizations made it possible to identify the main problems of trainees, teachers, and educational organizations with e-learning format and suggest possible measures to solve them. The transition to distance learning has become a sort of audit that revealed inconsistencies in the modern educational process to define corrective actions in order to improve the quality.
