Verb quantity in arabic

The paper deals with the analysis of the category of quantity in the Arabic verbs. The morphological indicators of number, the models of verb-noun agreement with its verb in preposition and postposition, continuous and multiple-action verbs are revealed. Reduplication and germination are considered as one of the morphological ways of intensity and repetition of the action. The results of the research are proved on J. Greenberg’s linguistic typological universals.
