The article discusses the process of modernization of the conditions for the formation of information and computer competencies of preschool education system specialists. The analysis of the requirements of the professional standard of a teacher of preschool education, the subject of which is the ability and willingness of a future specialist to work with new information technologies, is conducted. The educational opportunities of the digital laboratory are highlighted and disclosed, providing a competency-based approach to training future specialists of the preschool education system.
