Concept of Window in the Russian Linguistic Worldview

The article is devoted to the concept of Window in the Russian linguistic worldview. The author oft the article gives definitions of the linguistic worldview and the concept, which is a part of the linguistic worldview, analyses the mythological and conceptual components of the WINDOW concept in Russian language. The author of the article deals concerns the problems of the conceptual representation of the window image in collective and individual consciousnesses. The collective image of the window is represented in national marked phraseological units and proverbs of the Russian language. The individual image of the window is represented in Russian poetry and prose. It is widely revealed by metaphors.
