Formation of bandy as a cultural phenomenon in the first half of the XX century

the article examines the development of bandy in Russia in the first half of the XX century. It is traced how in the Soviet era, bandy gradually turned from "bourgeois fun" into a national sport, the uniqueness of which was also emphasized by the original hockey rules, which led to the emergence of the sports concept of "Russian hockey". The influence of the Soviet state on the development of hockey as a mass sport is noted.
