Within the framework of the cognitive approach, culture-specific element are considered as representatives of culture, which play a crucial role in shaping the language picture of the world. Russian realities and their German correspondences, identifying common and different semantic components will help to draw a conclusion about the similarities and differences in the German and Russian language pictures of the world.
