A metaphor for the changes of age in the Russian and Chinese languages

This article provides a comparative analysis of the metaphors used to indicate the change in age in the Russian and Chinese languages. As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that in the studied language pair there are similar and different metaphors that denote the processes of growing up and rejuvenation. A deep knowledge of the metaphorical designations of age allows you to perform a better translation from Russian into Chinese and vice versa, as well as establish more effective intercultural communication.
