Corpus analyses of modal words with the meaning "assuredness" in English language

This article focuses on main features of modal words in English language. The purpose of this article is corpus analysis of collocates of modal words with the meaning “assuredness”. The study is based on the material of the corpus of English language “British National Corpus”. The results of the study indicate that all modal words have semantic peculiarities which are expressed in different meanings of collocates.
