Some issues of teaching mathematics in technical universities

This article discusses some of the issues of teaching mathematics in technical universities. The features of mathematics as a science and academic subject are indicated. It is noted that for students of engineering specialties, mathematics is not only an academic discipline, but also a tool for analyzing professional activities, organization, and management of technological processes. It has been established that for the effective use of complexes of professionally oriented mathematical problems, special teaching methods are required. It was determined what should be included in the course of mathematics of a technical university. The most significant psychological, didactic and methodological conditions for the implementation of the professional orientation of teaching mathematics in a technical university are highlighted
