To the question of the relocation of the Christian population from the Crimea to the Priazov region at the end of the XVIII century

The main issues related to the history of the resettlement of the Christian population from the Crimea to the territory of the Azov region at the end of the 18th century are highlighted. With the help of chronological and typological research methods, the main reasons are listed, the names of the initiators and organizers of the resettlement are named, the consequences of this process for the further development of the Crimean peninsula are determined. It is concluded that the resettlement of the Crimean Greeks and other Christian population led to a change in the ethnic appearance of Crimea at the end of the 18th century. and significantly influenced the economic and social development of the peninsula, in particular, and Novorossia in general.
