Use of authentic materials in English language classes at military university

The article is devoted to the description of authentic sources that should be used in English classes at a military university. The relevance of the work is due to the need to develop the foreign language communicative competence of cadets to prepare for communication with partner countries on military topics. The aim of the work is to characterize pragmatically authentic texts that should be used in lectures and practical classes in English. The author gives a generalized description of six sources, including textbooks, site materials, and a scientific journal devoted to the topic of war. The author comes to the conclusion that all these authentic materials can be used harmoniously in the practice of teaching English.
