The theory of the sematic (phraseosemantic) field as a method for describing the phenomena of Jungs psychology by means of phaseological units

The purpose of the article is to describe by means of Russian language phraseological units (hereinafter PU) the phraseosemantic field "foresight" and to study the possibility of using this procedure as a method for describing the concepts of Jungian psychology for a broader and more accurate understanding and explanation. The material of the research was the analysis of 100 phraseological units (hereinafter PU),included in the phraseosemantic field (hereinafter FSP) "foresight", selected by the method of continuous sampling and related to the concepts of the collective unconscious in the theory of C. Jung, and included in the phraseosemantic field “foresight”. The author formulated the thesis that the theory of phraseological-semantic field is capable of analyzing the described phraseological units of the field, similar in meaning, having a common semantic theme and expression of the same concept, which is capable of determining the lexical context of the use of these phraseological units. On the basis of the analysis, the author concluded that the phraseological-semantic field “foresight” within the framework of K. Jung's psychology reflects the scientist's idea of the collective and individual unconscious. Furthermore the field also includes such concepts that were often used by K. Jung such as archetypes, instincts, intuition, dreams, experiences. The most frequent phraseological units, according to the author's conclusion, are those that characterize the individual’s subconscious, moreover the collective experience is reflected in 25 PU, and the individual experience in 13 PU.
