Features of the functioning of the metaphor in the mass media discourse (on the publications of modern German media)

The article is devoted to the study of the features of metaphors, as well as their influence on the formation of the image of Russia in German-language news publications. Metaphors are used by journalists to implement one of the primary tasks of the press - the formation of public opinion. The use of several sources of metaphorical modeling by journalists when working on news articles helps to increase the imagery of the text, makes it panoramic and understandable for the reader.
