Color in highly emotional-emotive text (on the example of the art works of J. London and F. Marrieta)

The use of color-meaning emotic vocabulary is studied in the English works of art. The general classification of emotive vocabulary is given, its main components and their functions are considered. The reaserch is conducted on the example of the works of J. London and F. Murryat. As the result of undertaken study the use of the emotic lixicon is characterised as not only revieling the inner world of the hero, but also presenting the author’s conception as a whole.
