Formation of surnames in different languages tipology

The article deals with the problem of the formation of family names in Russian, English and Avar. In comparable anthroponymic systems, various structural types of family names have long been formed. In modern anthroponymic traditions of Russian and Avar, a three-component model surname is represented, and in the English anthroponymic system a two-component model of surnames prevails. The vast majority of English surnames do not have specific formants, while Russian and Avar surnames have their own specific indicators intended for their formation. Each of the compared languages ​ ​ has its own specific traditions for the formation of surnames. Modern Avar surnames on -ov, -ev arose under the influence of the Russian anthroponymic system and do not correspond to national forms of naming.
