Formation of intercultural communicative competence in foreign language teaching

the relevance of the formation of intercultural communicative competence in foreign language teaching is determined by social trends in the era of globalization. The present article provides analysis of the ongoing studies in this field, considers relationship between language and culture as well as different approaches to the formation of intercultural communicative competence. Special attention is given to the overview of the existing internationalization practices in fostering intercultural communication skills necessary for personal and professional development.
