Tsaturyan M. A.  (Candidate of Philology, Kuban State University, Krasnodar)

The article discusses the functional features of euphemization and dysfemization in political discourse. Euphemisms, even with a weak connection with the denotation, do not lose their status, since they correspond to the main parameters of the euphemism identification (they replace unwanted words or expressions, have a neutral connotation, help to avoid communicative conflict). Keywords:political discourse, euphemization, dysfemization, functional features.
