Feature film as a subject of translation

This article examines the features of translation and adaptation of a feature film on the material of the English and Russian languages. The aim of the research is to consider the linguistic and translation techniques that serve for the linguistic and cultural transformation of a feature film from English into Russian. To achieve this goal, the comparative method, contextual analysis of the text, as well as the descriptive method, including the generalization and interpretation of the information received, are used. The study revealed linguistic differences in film translation when creating texts for duplication and subtitling, as well as the factors that determine them.
