Donald trump's political speech: lexicostylistic innovations

The article is devoted to the study of lexical and stylistic features of Donald Trump's speech. The texts of D. Trump's public speeches in the period from 2015 till 2021 were subjected to pragmalinguistic analysis. Lexical and stylistic innovations introduced by D. Trump into the political discourse of the United States are revealed. The main ones are: conciseness, simplicity, imagery and expressiveness of speech, constant use of emotional-evaluative vocabulary, colloquial vocabulary, deliberately colloquial expressions, the use of personal plural first person pronouns, disregard of the rules of speech etiquette and denial of rules of "political correctness", the use of direct names and dysphemisms, the use of tautological structures with plural repetition of the key thesis. The pragmatic conditionality of the features of D. Trump's political speech is shown.
