Features of teaching the subject "Foundations of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics" in Russian schools

The article discusses the prerequisites for the introduction of the subject "Foundations of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics" as mandatory in primary school. The functions of the teacher and parents in the implementation of a new subject are revealed. Culturological and communicative methodological approaches to teaching it are analyzed.
